Ballroom dancer Serge Onik, who participated in season 11 of So you think you can dance, died at the age of 33.
“He was an incredible dancer with a huge heart, and he touched the lives of everyone who met him,” Jim Keith, president of The Movement Talent Agency, who represented Onik, told EW.com. “He will be truly missed. It’s a sad day for us at the agency and for the dance community as a whole. (No cause of death of Onik has yet been made public.)
Born in Ukraine, Onik moved to the United States with his family at the age of 3. Onik became a ballroom dance champion and went on to audition for season 11 of the Fox Summer Dance Competition. So you think you can dance, which aired in 2014. Onik made it to the Season’s Top 20 Live Performances, and was eventually knocked out in Week 4 of the results.
