Seth Rogen clarifies that Emma Watson did NOT quit filming This Is The End

After making headlines for responding to a rumor about Emma Watson on the set of their 2013 movie This Is the End, Seth Rogen is clarifying the ordeal.

The 38-year-old actor and filmmaker was asked whether Watson ‘stormed the set’ after arguing in a scene involving Danny McBride as the cannibal and Channing Tatum as the ‘gimp’ that she didn’t want to be in.

Rogen took to Twitter on Monday to clarify matters, making it clear that Watson, 30, had talked about doing the scene, but she did NOT leave the set.

“I want to correct a story that emerged from a recent interview I gave. It distorts what really happened. Emma Watson did not “storm the set” and it is wrong that the perception is that she did, “Rogen began.

“ The scene was not what was originally scripted, it was improvised, drastically changed and was not what she had accepted. The narrative that she was uncool or unprofessional in one way or another is a complete bull, ” he added.

“I definitely should have communicated better and because I didn’t she was put in an awkward position,” Rogen continued.

He added that they had spoken on the night of the shooting of the scene, adding: ‘It was overall a shit situation and it must have been difficult for her to say something and I am very happy and impressed. that she did. We agreed that she wouldn’t be on stage together.

“ I was delighted to have the opportunity to work with her and would love to have this opportunity again. I am very sorry and disappointed that this has happened, and I would have liked to have done more to prevent it, ”he concluded.

This Is the End, which marked the directorial debut for Rogen and his collaborator Evan Goldberg, took place at a party at James Franco’s house, with Rogen, Franco and the slew of other celebrities playing improved versions of themselves.

During the party, an apocalyptic attack takes place, as the stars fortify Franco’s house, with Watson returning home after the initial attack.

She finally took off with their supplies after hearing a conversation that got out of hand, and she was not seen again.

Towards the end of the movie, Rogen, Franco, and Jay Baruchel meet Danny McBride, who has become the leader of an apocalyptic cannibal gang, and it looks like Watson was originally going to be a part of that scene.

In the original interview with GQ UK, Rogen added that Watson, “came back the next day to say goodbye” and that she “helped promote the film.

“ No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the movie ultimately turned out. She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it, ” he said.

This Is The End received good reviews from critics (83% on Rotten Tomatoes) and it was a modest box office success with $ 126 million worldwide on a budget of $ 32 million.
