Emerging actor, writer and ceramist Seth Rogen publishes his very first book, which Random House’s Crown imprint insists is “more insightful than anything with this amount of talk about drugs and profanity have the right to be. ” Titled Phone book, the American pickle The star’s essay collection will include anecdotes about Rogen’s early years of comedy, his family, and his experiences in Hollywood. In Rogen’s true character, the Phone book The press release contains a statement not from the author himself, but from his mother, Sandy Rogen. It sounds like exactly what anyone’s Jewish mother would write for the release of her book, which is, it’s hilarious:

“At first I was worried that Seth would write a book, because I was like, ‘Oh no! What is he going to say ?! ‘I was even afraid to read it. But I am very glad I did. It’s not really a brief, as I thought. Guess that’s more of a bunch of funny stories? Does this make sense? He talks about doing stand-up when he was a kid (I’ve driven him to all of his shows!), His grandparents, high school, moving to LA, meeting famous people, things like that. If I’m being honest, I really wish there weren’t so much talk about drugs. Why does he need all of this? It’s like “We got it!” And some of the stories? I mean, they’re entertaining, but I was just shocked that they happened and he never told me! Overall, I think it’s sweeter and funnier than anything, so I like it, and I’m glad he wrote it, but I’d be even happier if he called me more.

Rogen also showed off the hard cover art of the book on Twitter, which fits perfectly with the Phone book theme, with illustrations of both real (Michael Lynton, head of Sony) and fictional (Xenu, for some reason) characters. Rogen replied that guy Ted Cruz didn’t make the cut.

This news was extremely well chosen to coincide with Freaks and Geeksgo back to streaming and the theme plays right there. Phone book, and the audiobook narrated by Rogen, are out May 11, 2021. Heh-heh-heh.
