NFL teams with at least 85% of their players fully vaccinated are expected to have relaxed COVID-19 protocols this season, and seven NFL teams are ahead of the rest.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, seven NFL teams are now above the vaccinated threshold of 85%.
These teams, and others that hit the 85 percent mark, should have fewer restrictions on team meetings and facility access. The precise COVID-19 rules for 2021 have not been finalized, but several coaches have said they believe vaccinating 85% of their players will be a competitive advantage.
Overall, about 70% of NFL players have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
