The positive news continues to come for the Kentucky football program.
Following the news of senior wide receiver Josh Ali and special teams off-series Zach Johnson both announcing their return to Kentucky for one final season, tight end Justin Rigg and defensive back Davonte Robinson have both decided to withdraw. join in the fun.
Using the NCAA’s free year of eligibility following the COVID-19 pandemic, Rigg and Robinson announced that they would return to the UK in 2021.
“Big Blue Nation, after much discussion with my family and coaches, I have decided to return to the Kentucky football team for the 2021 season,” Rigg announced after Kentucky’s victory over NC State at TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. “I can’t wait to have another year with this great team. I am very honored to have been welcomed back and I am delighted for the future to come.

“Big Blue Nation, growing up in the big city of Lexington, I always dreamed of playing football in Kentucky. The past five years have been some of the best times of my life and I’m ready to make some more memories next year, ”Robinson also announced. “I am happy to announce that I will be returning for my sixth and final season in the UK in 2021. Let’s make some unforgettable memories.”
