"There will be a risk of isolated showers and thunderstorms during the night as we approach a disturbance from the northwest," said Storm Team4 meteorologist Mike Stinneford .

The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings on Saturday for parts of Fauquier County and Rappahannock County, Virginia.

Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in Culpepper, Fauquier, Prince William and Stafford counties, the last of which expired at 9 pm In Maryland, Montgomery, Frederick, Baltimore, Howard and Carroll counties were under severe storm warning until 23:45.

Power outages

The weather has left thousands of Virginia residents without electricity.

More than 5,200 Dominion customers are in the dark, mostly in Fauquier County.

Dominion said the crews are assessing the damage.

They estimate that the current will be restored between 22h and 17h. and 3 hours on Sunday.

There are still 700 non-electricity customers in Fairfax County due to storms that devastated our area and damaged power lines on Thursday.
