Sexton, Cavs beat the Raptors 126-101; 2 ejected for the fight

CLEVELAND – Collin Sexton scored 28 points, Kevin Love 16 points and 18 rebounds, and the Cleveland Cavaliers put the Toronto Raptors on a 126-101 rout Monday night.

Serge Ibaka of Toronto and Marquese Chriss of Cleveland were sent off for fighting late in the third quarter. Ibaka went to the ground after the two fought for a place under the Cleveland basket, while the Raptors attempted a pass for the entire field coming off the pitch.

Ibaka pushed Chriss from behind and grabbed him by the neck before throwing a punch. Chriss responded with a punch before the players of both teams broke up. Ibaka went immediately to the locker room and both players were sent off after the officials' conference.

Ibaka hit the court in the second quarter after suffering a foul from Chriss after scoring on a rebound.

Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points after Sunday's win in Miami, but his return did not help the Raptors, who have the league's second best record.

Cedi Osman scored 19 points and Ante Zizic had 17 for Cleveland, allowing six players to double-digit.

Leonard was 11 of 19 from the field, but the Raptors led briefly during the first half. Cleveland was in the lead for most of the game and outscored Toronto 32-22 in the third quarter.

Cleveland took command in the fourth and continued 108-88 in the middle of the period. The Cavaliers give a 27-point lead late in the game.

Kyle Lowry scored 14 points for the Raptors. Toronto (48-20) leads Milwaukee by 2 1/2 games for the league's best record.

Toronto won a 125-104 win over the Heat without Leonard, setting a franchise record with 21 points at 3 points and beating Miami 63-24 beyond the arc.

Leonard, who averaged 27.1 points in the game, has not played more than two consecutive games since his match in five straight games from Jan. 25 to Feb. 5.

The Raptors, showing signs of fatigue in their third straight game on the road, struggled throughout the match. Toronto lost 10 points and made 11 turnovers to 13 points for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland coach Larry Drew said that before the match, Love, who has not played in a return match since returning from a foot operation, will be absent. Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Raptors: G. Fred Van Vleet (left ligament tear) missed his 11th straight game. … G Patrick McCaw made his first start with the team Sunday in Miami with Leonard put away, scoring 10 points in 26 minutes. McCaw has appeared in three games with the Cavaliers earlier this season.
