The San Francisco Giants are getting a few days off, an award worthy of winning the NL West in spectacular fashion. Four days off, in particular, which is a nice break to reset and refuel.
On Monday, a day after the regular season ended, the MLB announced the playoff schedule for the first week of the playoffs. The Giants play NLDS Game 1 Friday at 6:37 p.m. PT and Game 2 Saturday at 6:07 p.m. PT, before taking the Sunday off. Both games are set at Oracle Park and are televised on TBS.
The ALDS has a day off between games when the series changes locations, so it’s pretty safe to assume that Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) will be Monday October 11 and Tuesday October 12, with Game 5 ( if necessary) returning to San Francisco on Thursday, October 14.
But while we know when the Giants will play, we don’t yet know who the Giants will play. That will be determined on Wednesday, when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Wild Card Game. If you want to see who the Giants face off against (and bring some Beat LA vibes), the game takes place at 5:10 p.m. PT on TBS.
Here’s the full schedule for this week, in case you’re interested in non-Giants baseball.
