Shakira says pair of wild boars attacked her and tried to steal her things

Shakira said she and her son were attacked by two wild boars who destroyed her bag in a park in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

The singer recounted the ordeal in a series of Instagram stories that have since been deleted but have been reported by several news outlets.

In the video, which did not show Shakira’s face, the singer said in Spanish that the animals attacked her before grabbing a bag that contained her phone and escaping into the woods.

She managed to retrieve her bag and showed the damage to the camera. “They destroyed everything,” she says.

She then told her son, whose father is Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué: “Milan, tell the truth. Tell how your mom resisted the boar, ”the BBC reported.

Wild boars have become a growing problem in European cities, where they feed on the waste dumped by humans. Animals, considered among the most invasive in the world by the World Conservation Union, have become a daily sight in cities like Barcelona and Rome.

Spanish police received nearly 1,200 phone calls in 2016 regarding the nuisance created by wild boars, including traffic disturbances, rooting in garbage and attacks from domestic animals.
