NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal made his AEW ring debut on Wednesday night, but he was unaware when he and Jad Cargill beat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet in Dynamite: the crossroads.
Shaq, 48, dominated Rhodes during the first half of the match, but “The American Nightmare” got his revenge with a running crossbody. The move sent the two men out of the ring, crashing (and shattering) two tables.
Cargill ultimately won the mixed match for the two powers with a Glam Slam. Meanwhile, O’Neal was still stunned in the rubble with an AEW doctor checking him in.
O’Neal was put on a stretcher during the commercial break and loaded into an ambulance outside the amphitheater. However, when announcer Tony Schiavone opened the doors of the vehicle, Shaq was nowhere to be found.
