Moore reflected on how St. John "changed the game".

"He has opened the door to many of us, myself and many other people, whether you know it or not, so if you continue young actors, carry his torch with pride. 39; have a life, but I do not have this life, and I'm not sure to make this career without Kristoff St. John in my life … "

Before returning to the award, Moore had a starting message for St. John: "… we miss you, rest in peace, keep dancing and we will never forget you, brother."

After opening the envelope to see the winner, Moore was incredulous.

"Close your mouth," Young and restless, "" he said with a broad smile. "Kristoff, it's for you, baby!"

In "Y & R", which aired on April 29, Moore remembered his attempts to play his role nervously in 1994. He said that St. John had played a role in his hiring .

Moore, who kept his sunglasses during the audition, was reminded "so scared" about the audition – and impressed by St. John, whom he described as # 39; "man".

Moore remembered the advice that St. John had given him before his audition: "He says," Keep the blinds, because I know you're nervous, but I've got … I'm coming … ROLL with me, and we will do it. & # 39; "

As the alum of the "Criminal Minds" says, he earned that role because St. John defended it in a discussion with co-creator William J. Bell.

"I want the scared kid with his baseball cap and his sunglasses to play his brother," St. John told the producer. "He still has a long way to go, but I know he can do it."

But Moore said the kindness of St. John did not stop there: "He carried me." He kissed me .He was always my mentor, I always respected him, and the more I became strong and proud. "
