Shinya Aoki, 35, is once again lightweight champion of ONE Championship. The Japanese veteran only needed two minutes and 34 seconds to make Eduard Folayang unconscious, a victim of a suffocation of the arm triangle, at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on Sunday.
The two men kicked at the start of the fight, with Aoki trying to test Folayang's guard with high kicks from the south leg position. The Filipino caught a left hook and the challenger reacted by shooting for his first run.
He landed in the ideal position for an arm throttle and immediately began applying pressure to Folayang's neck. The Filipino was trapped and Aoki quickly went into the half-guard with the helpless champion to escape.
There was no stop at Folayang and he did not type, but quickly lost consciousness and the referee stopped the action. With the win, Aoki becomes the ONE champion in the lightweight category for the second time and improves to 43-8-0-1, while Folayang drops to 21-7.

Lee looking exhausted, Xiong pushed forward and launched a series of punches. A right hand to the body put the life of the Singaproean / Korean to death and the champion immediately kicked at the center of the section.
Lee was clearly not in a position to continue as she turned away and the referee intervened quickly to cancel the fight. It was the first career loss of the current Atomic Champion, which goes to 9-1, while Xiong advances to 14-1 and remains undefeated in the ONE championship.
