A video surveillance footage of former Dravida leader Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Selvakumar, repeatedly hit a woman in a Perambalur beauty salon in Tamil Nadu. The clip shows Selvakumar hitting the woman while others were trying to stop him. The incident took place on May 25 but has emerged on social media recently. Selvakumar was arrested and also suspended senior members of the party. The order of his suspension came after the CCTV footage of the attack became viral on WhatsApp and other social media.
