Shocking video of passenger mutiny following wrongful removal of two black men from flight

The video was filmed as passengers on an EasyJet flight out of London gathered to protest the removal of two black men from the flight.

The incident happened on Thursday as a flight was taxiing and preparing to take off from London Gatwick Airport in Malaga Spain. According to passenger Luke Gayle, flight attendants alerted police and returned the plane to the boarding gate to remove two black men from the flight for “blowing a crew member” when asked to put on their shoes until after take-off.

As police boarded to remove the two men, passengers can be heard protesting on the video, telling the men, “no, don’t get off” as well as “sit down”.

Following protests from passengers, the men were allowed to remain on the flight and the flight crew was replaced. However, in a statement to Daily mail, EasyJet said the crew was replaced because of exceeding their shift time limits and not because of complaints about the incident.

“EasyJet does not discriminate against any individual. Safety is our top priority and there is no indication that discrimination played a role in the problem on board,” the statement said, adding: “Our crew must ensure that safety requirements are respected by all passengers and as part of their role must verify before take-off that everyone is complying. ”

EasyJet said it would investigate the incident.
