Shooting at the Secretary of State's office in Lansing

LANSING, MI (WILX) – Police are on hand to investigate a shootout at the Secretary of State's office in Lansing.

Lansing police received a call for "firing" just after 11 am Monday morning.

The shooting occurred at 3315 E. Michigan Avenue, in a branch of the Secretary of State.

NEWS 10 is on site and spoke to the Lansing Police.

They told NEWS 10 that one bullet hole was coming from outside.

The police are questioning witnesses, and if you stay there, they hope you'll call them and tell them everything you've seen.

Nobody was hurt and they said it was unusual for the area.

After gunshots were fired, people were dragged behind their backs to stay safe until the police arrived.

The office of the secretary of state is currently closed and can not reopen for the day.

The police are looking for a suspect.
