Shooting injures 2 at Lehigh County Walmart: police

WHITEHALL, Pa. (WPVI) – Whitehall Township Police are investigating a Friday shooting at a Lehigh County Walmart that left two people injured.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on the 2600 block of MacArthur Road.

Police say two people were shot dead.

Witnesses at the scene say the incident happened very suddenly.

“As we pulled into the parking lot, we saw one of the Whitehall police cars come flying up to the main entrance here near TJ Maxx and then head towards Walmart,” said Scott Dias of Upper. Macungie. “Within seconds, we saw more than five or six police cars arrive.”

Qusai Muhasen, New Jersey, said, “As I walk in I hear like a ‘boom boom’. I thought it was a car exhaust or something. “

There is no current word on the condition of the victims or a motive.

No other information has yet been released by officials.
