Around 9:45 pm On Friday, an armed man entered a crowded hotel and casino in Bellagio and asked for money at a caged poker box, said Captain Nichole Splinter of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

He then fled and tried to steal a vehicle that had just entered the parking lot, but he was immediately confronted with four police officers, Splinter said.

The suspect shot with his gun and hit one of the police officers in the vest. A second officer fired back and hit the suspect, Splinter said.

The agent and the suspect were transported to a local hospital and the agent was treated and released. The suspect is listed in critical condition.

Police said that, in accordance with their policy, the identity of the officers involved would be disclosed after 48 hours.

The incident recalls the movie "Ocean's Eleven". In the film, Danny Ocean (Clooney), Pitt and other accomplices plan a hold-up in several casinos, including the Bellagio.
