Cedar Springs, Michigan – Several people were killed during a shootout Monday near the town of Cedar Springs in western Michigan, reported CBS affiliate WWMT. It is believed that four people died, WWMT reports via Twitter, citing the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office tweeted: "We do not think that there is an active threat to the safety of the community."
According to MLive reports, members of parliament responded to reports that shots had been fired at a house around 3 pm Monday afternoon.
The identity and age of the victims were not known immediately.
