A guy claims to have found the tail of a few shrimp in his cereal – something General Mills assures him it doesn’t, but he’s definitely not buying it.
Writer / Producer Jensen karp documented what he claims to be a brutal breakfast shoot on Monday, posting photos of various artifacts he says he found in his new box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. He says he found shrimp tails in there … 2 of them to be exact !!!
Jensen started off by asking (and officially tagging) the CTC’s Twitter account why there was apparently shellfish scraps in his box that had just been sealed … which set off quite a journey of what he said. described as excuses and gas fires.
Ok, we go after further investigation with my eyes, these are cinnamon covered shrimp tails, you weirdos. Wasn’t I that crazy until you tried to turn me on? https://t.co/7DmADmoqUt pic.twitter.com/rSLE60pvoy

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, at first, responded by apologizing and asking for more details … while also offering a new box as a quick fix. Then the CTC claimed, after further examination, that their quality control team came to the conclusion that these were not shrimp tails … just large, dried sugar cubes!
Jensen – who is married to the star of “Boy Meets World” Danielle Fishel, BTW – didn’t seem to accept this answer … as he posted close-ups of the alleged shrimp tails. He claims he took it a step further and found more disgusting stuff … including a small piece of string and tiny spots of black grime on some of the cereal.
Also, many squares have black markings and some are dyed red? And yes, I ate a bowl before I noticed it all. pic.twitter.com/Y9WWmsTznP

Some people on the internet have speculated that this stuff could be mouse or rat droppings … which opens up a whole new box of worms that make us gag just thinking about it.
As to where things ended here … Jensen says he’s heading back to Costco – where he bought the cereal – to get answers. He also expects more from CTC’s parent company, General Mills.
We too have contacted General Mills … so far no word in return.
