After Apple finished today the keynote address of WWDC, developers turned to coding sessions and the press was, for the most part, revealed. In this case, we later had the chance to see most new software in action in private demos. First of all, an important warning: these demos have been guided and handled, which means that we have not yet had the opportunity to install the software on our own devices and use it as a daily driver. But, until these platforms are launched in beta this summer, it is useful to be able to use these operating systems, apart from what turned out to be a packaged keynote and evolving quickly. When Apple is demonstrating software on stage, you can easily blink and miss the mention of a new feature, or simply miss its operation.
In the video above, we look at macOS Catalina and three of its most notable features: Sidecar (to use an iPad as a secondary screen); Project Catalyst (allowing developers to easily port iOS applications to Mac) and voice control, allowing people with reduced mobility to fully navigate the operating system using voice commands. Obviously, we will come back this summer with a preview of the beta, followed by a comprehensive review of the complete and final software in the fall. For the moment, take advantage of additional visual effects and, when you are done, discover our treatment similar to iOS 13 and the "new" iPadOS (renamed).
