Sigma fp against Sony, Nikon, Canon and Panasonic

[ad_1]

We've talked a lot about the all-new Sigma fp, officially the world's smallest full-frame mirrorless camera to date. But how small is this thing compared to the competition from Sony, Nikon, Canon and another member of L-Mount Alliance, Panasonic?

Thanks to the people at Camera Size, who have already added Sigma fp and L-mount compatible lenses to their repertoire, we can do it. Here are two angles comparing the Sigma to Sony a7III, Nikon Z6, Canon EOS-R and Panasonic S1.

For the top-down view, we did our best to select lenses of similar size and weight, although this was not always possible. As you can see, the camera is significantly smaller than any competing device and looks downright tiny next to the huge Panasonic S1, which actually uses the same lens mount.

There is no doubt that Sigma did something impressive with the fp. If it is competitive or competitive with the rest of the group – and in every way, it should all surpass them at least in video – it will be a very interesting option without a mirror in its entirety.
