Did you switch to signal or telegram? If so, you may have received notifications from these messaging apps, alerting you that your friends have joined as well. As a lot of people migrate to Signal or Telegram, getting new friend alerts at the top of the screen is a bit annoying. You are notified when someone saved in your contact list is a new Signal or Telegram user. Fortunately, both platforms give you the option to turn off these alerts on your phone.
All you have to do is turn off the “Contact Joined” option in the settings section. If you are still looking for this option, follow the steps below to turn off the option to connect new friends. If you don’t want to turn off the option, you can just archive chats every time you get the alert. Messaging apps allow you to unarchive chats at any time. You will find archived chats at the end of all chats. Then you just need to tap on the “ Archived ” option to see what all the threads you have archived.
