Sigourney Weaver, James Cameron and Ridley Scott congratulate the high school theater club for their incredible extraterrestrial performance

Students at North Bergen High School recently became viral for having mounted a surprisingly complex theatrical production of the 1979 Alien horror film classic. With a small cast, intricate props and a detailed reenactment of a costume From Xenomorph, students were able to successfully adapt from donated and recycled materials for the most part and with a budget of $ 3,500.

Actress Ripley Sigourney Weaver recorded a video message to the cast and crew, congratulating them and the greetings of everyone involved in the creation of the original 1979 film, Aliens.

"I've seen a bit of your Alien production, [and] I just want to say that it seemed incredible, "Weaver said. You put so much heart and soul into that, and the alien – I must say – looked very real to me. "

She continued, sharing the greetings of other creators in Alien and Alien movies.

"I just want to send our compliments, not just from me, but from James Cameron and the original writer Walter Hill," she said. "We all say bravo, bravo."

Weaver closed the video with some tips for the students.

"You know, the alien may still be there, so … when you open your locker, do it very slowly."

Alien director Ridley Scott has also sent official support to school playmaker Perfecto Cuervo, offering his own praise and advice to students.

"This is perhaps the greatest lesson for ALL, and your future plans: stay with that determination and that spirit in everything you do, and you will succeed, that nothing will put you off or delay you," he said. Scott.

It took Cuervo about a month and a half to adapt the piece of the film, while the artistic director Steven Defendini oversaw the look and creation of the piece.
