Silent Hill fan bought SilentHill.com because of Resident Evil Village

We’ve heard a lot of talk lately about the height of a certain horror villain, but an unknown Silent Hill fan wants you to remember Pyramid Head was there first. The apparently fan-owned site Silenthill.com now shows an image of Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2 with a height chart for the ladder, confirming that it is indeed nine feet tall. The message “he was the first” accompanies the image, making the intended effect quite clear.

This is clearly a response to the popularity of Lady Dimitrescu of Resident Evil Village, a very tall lady vampire who really wants to kill protagonist Ethan Winters. The game’s artistic director, Tomonori Takano, has confirmed Lady Dimitrescu is around nine and a half feet tall when you include her hat and high heels, which sparked a flood of jokes and fan interest.

While the unknown fan certainly has a point about Pyramid Head, it’s likely Konami or some other party might want this area at some point. Recently, series composer Akira Yamaoka gave an interview in which he said that a new project he is working on is “the one you hope to hear about”. The interview was cut short soon after the clip went viral. However, rumors of a Silent Hill reboot have been circling for years at this point, being quashed again and again by Konami, so it’s not clear if this is reliable.
