Silksong 'E3 video,' Overcooked! 2 'Gets new downloadable content, "Dead Dungeon" and other news of the day, latest sales, etc. – TouchArcade

[ad_1]

Good morning, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up on June 14, 2019. The E3 2019 trade show is over and the owners of Nintendo Switch have something to celebrate over the next few months. Despite all the bustle of the week, the day has been rather quiet so far. But do not worry, my friends. We still have interesting news to browse, some new versions to look at and a surprisingly robust sales list to check. Let's finish the week right!

New

Nintendo Treehouse shows a piece of "Hollow Knight: Silksong"

Hollow knight quickly became the favorite of many Switch owners when it came out on the platform last year. Naturally, everyone had their eyes on the Cherry team, and this turned out to be a new chapter in the Hollow knight universe. This time, the main character is Hornet. Apparently, the game is coming up sometime soon and, as such, it was playable at E3 2019. As part of its show coverage, the Nintendo Treehouse unveiled about fifteen minutes of play at go from Silk song demo that was playable there. Now, I do not blame you if you do not want to spoil anything for yourself, but it looks absolutely great. Yes Silk song is almost as long as the first game, the part of the game shown in this video will only be a drop in the set, but it's nice to see how it's built.

Downloadable content "Hangry Horde Night" now available for "Overcooked!"

If you have exploited all the content currently available in Overcooked! 2 and looking for more, Team17 and Ghost Town Games are more than happy to oblige. Night of the Hangry Horde is now available for purchase on the eShop for $ 9.99. It adds a new Horde mode with eight levels of protection against the undead trying to reverse the situation. You also get twelve new regular levels, including nine new kitchens and three hidden levels of Kevin. There are four new leaders, three of them monsters, the last being the famous Boxhead leader of the first game. Add new mechanisms like the guillotine and new recipes like fruit pies and you'll get a delicious new portion that will keep you busy for a long time.

The HORI Split Pad Pro will be released in the west

Many strange accessories came out in Japan and never really go after, and when I saw for the first time the new HORI Split Pad Pro, which was apparently designed to be used with Daemon X MachinaI did not really know if this company wanted to go out around the world. Apparently, though. A list appeared on Amazon for the controller, and through it we can more or less confirm its features. First of all, like the left HORI D-Pad controller, the Split Pad Pro can only be used in portable mode. It must be connected to the switch to work. Plus, it does not have the rumble, gyroscope, NFC playback, or infrared sensor features you would find in traditional Joy-Cons products. So what's he? Wide-format analog controllers, good directional pad, large shoulder buttons and additional objects such as the quick-fire system, additional set of programmable triggers and assignable buttons. It is fully licensed by Nintendo and is currently listed to arrive on September 30 for $ 49.99.

New versions

Arcade Archives Pooyan ($ 7.99)

Konami is generally known for many types of games: great shoot-em-ups, innovative stealth actions, commandos against aliens, and weird guys with whips against Dracula. Particles, hardcore stuff. But one of his early successes involved a mother pig using arrows to pop the wolf balloons that stole his kids. Pooyan"It's a pretty old game, released for the first time in 1982, but the games of this vintage are going pretty well. That does not necessarily mean that you're going to have a lot of fun playing today, but it's going well in short bursts. Hamster did his usual job here, so if you want to play a little Pooyanit's a great way to go about it.

Dead Dungeon ($ 4.99)

Dead dungeon is one of those hyper-demanding platform games on one screen where it's hard to repeat and repeat. And it is, you know, very good. Basically, he does what he needs. You get levels with outlets that need to be open by collecting elements, and these elements are usually located in another part of the scene that forces you to make platforms hard to reach. If you die, you start the scene from the beginning. You will die a lot, but you reappear quickly, so it's not that bad. This one has a decent music, but if I'm honest, the visual effects do not do me much. And although the level designs are correct, this game lacks gadgets that would help it stand out in a rather cluttered genre. Yet for five dollars? It's decent.

Verlet Swing ($ 14.99)

Okay, on one side, I appreciate how bizarre this game is weird. He has that Umihara Kawase a quality where the stages are incredibly surreal places in which you have to fight. But here you do it in 3D. It is an acceptable game but lacking in its original form, but this port is not the best. It seems to me very difficult in many ways, and in the end, it sounds more like an experience than a game. I know that a lot of people just like to watch strange games like this one for fun or just to enjoy something different. If you do not mind and the price does not bother you, certainly. But even with that in mind, you'd probably be better off playing on your computer if you can.

Vosaria: the lair of the forgotten ($ 4.99)

A scrolling action game with lots of guns and bonuses to collect, VosariaThe main feature is to allow the player to jump to the ceiling. Yes, like that game. But it's not really the same kind of game, so do not worry too much. The game looks to be a bit cheaper than the old budget, but it 's not so bad to play. I will not recommend it with much enthusiasm, but considering the price and value for money, it's an acceptable game. I just wish the main character is a little better animated. Yes, it's a question of cosmetics, but the game would probably do better if the main character did not work as if his diaper was full.

Sales

Well, I guess I asked that, right? After being virtually sure that most of the games put on sale this week had been, I woke up to take a look at another long list. Now, I recognize that these are not for the most part the stars of the Switch line-up, but there are some good games like Axiom Verge, Super Daryl Deluxe, and New Star Manager in there. I would also like to draw attention to Kid TrippSelling price. If you have 79 gold points or just a few spare parts in your eShop wallet, it's a good way to spend them. Most games that end their discount period this weekend will be back in a short time, but if you've looked at Goat Simulator, it may be a little late for us to review this.

I do not know how I will buy everything I want this year, but we will suffer the same fate, I suppose. I hope you have a good weekend and, as always, thank you for reading!
