Tevin Biles-Thomas is charged with murder, willful murder, criminal assault and perjury during a deadly shooting in Cleveland on December 31, 2018. The charges were announced in a joint statement of Cleveland Police and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

We do not know if he has a lawyer.

Biles-Thomas is the brother of Simone Biles, five-time Olympic medalist and 14-time world champion. Earlier this month, she became the first gymnast to attempt to win a double twist foot and a double somersault on the beam.

On the night of the shooting, a group of uninvited guests entered a house and a fight began, authorities said. The fight led to the shooting and several people were affected.

Two people – Delvaunte Johnson, 19, and Toshaun Banks, 21 – died on the scene. A third person, Devaughn Gibson, 23, died later in a hospital.

Biles-Thomas was identified by Cleveland Police as the shooter.

He was arrested Thursday in Liberty County, Georgia, and is currently awaiting extradition to Cuyahoga County, the Liberty County Jail said.

Biles-Thomas remains held without bail in Liberty County Jail. He is due to appear on September 13 in Ohio.

"We appreciate our partnership with the Cuyahoga County District Attorney's Office and are confident that their efforts will bring justice to the families affected by this terrible incident," said Cleveland Division Police Chief Calvin Williams.

CNN sought the advice of Simone Biles.

Last night she tweeted"Eating my feelings does not speak to me." She also liked a few tweets on Friday morning, including the one who said, "That's exactly why I hate the media in America, it has nothing to do with @Simone_Biles not dragging its name in the mud because of something its brother did." She's an American icon and a hero for little girls around the world. "
