The sims 4 helped me cope with my forties, but I’ve been a fan of the show since I was young. In these games, you design a person, build a house for them, and then meet all of their needs. You can get the job of your dreams and become a rocket scientist, make friends (or enemies), and even cheat your way to wealth.
In it I can live any kind of life, and if I ever run out of money, a simple Motherlode the cheat code (or three) fixes the problem. With thousands of hours logged, I’m not tired of the game yet, thanks in large part to the huge library of add-ons.
See, The sims 4 is awesome, but there is a catch. The base game is sometimes as cheap as $ 5 and $ 40 at most. But that’s before the add-ons. With nine expansion packs, eight game packs, and 17 item packs available, it can cost you up to $ 700 to get all the extra stuff. It’s as much as a brand new iPhone, laptop, or the start of a great savings account. It’s all pretty tempting, but you don’t need all that Downloadable Content (DLC) to The sims 4.
Below, I’ll go through each element of the game’s DLC. (I’ve tried them all!) First, I’ll give you a rundown of my favorite $ 40 expansion packs, and others besides I think you can skip. I will do the same for all the $ 20 game packs available, which add a mix of features and items. And the latest are the $ 10 Item Packs, which add themed items for your home and Sims. The links in each pack provide access to PC / Mac redemption codes that you can purchase and enter into EA’s Origin game store.
Our favorite expansion packs
Expansion packs are the most feature-rich DLC, and that’s why they typically cost $ 40 apiece. They change the way you play. Each expansion adds a new world for your Sims to live in, at least one new activity, new items and locations, new items for your Sims, new household items, and things like new traits, careers, or skills.
