Simu Liu’s stock model photos before he was famous go viral after his starring turn in the new Marvel movie “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”
Liu spoke about the footage – of which he posed as a construction worker, a Zumba class participant, at work in an office, and more – on Friday’s episode of “The Tonight Show.”
The concert was a world away from the track’s “international prestige”, he told host Jimmy Fallon.
Liu only worked one day and earned $ 100 in fixed costs, he recalls.
“They own the rights to the photos they take in perpetuity, which is very, very important,” Liu said. “That means the rights never run out, which means they could sell those photos and make millions and millions of dollars out of them and the talent wouldn’t see a single dime.” So that’s what happened to me.
