According to Law 360, Sinclair Broadcast Group has indeed won the call for bids as part of Mouse's acquisition of 21st Century Fox. An April report said a "handshake agreement$ 10 billion was in place and lawyers were completing negotiations as Sinclair sought to recruit new investors.

They have been successful on all fronts, bringing Allen & Company LLC, Deutsche Bank AG, JP Morgan Chase, Moelis & Co. and RBC Capital Markets into the fold of what is now a $ 10.6 billion purchase. The transaction was facilitated by six different law firms, accounting for approximately one billion billable overtime hours.

This allows Sinclair to participate in 23 regional sports networks, including the Cubs Marquee Network and the Yankees YES Network. It remains to be seen how this affects the Cubs, but check the link above for some additional thoughts on this. For the tl; dr, it's easy to assume that this gives Marquee a bit more weight and could mean wider streaming capabilities.
