16 more PS4 games become PlayStation Hits next week

Sony is adding 16 more PS4 games to its PlayStation Hits catalog next week, including Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Mortal Kombat X and more.

Earlier this year, Sony launched PlayStation Hits, a catalogue of specially selected games for the PlayStation 4 that are made available for a low price of $19.99. At the time of its inception, there were 15 games in the PlayStation Hits catalog, which are designated with a unique red packaging instead of the traditional blue.

The initial lineup of PlayStation Hits spanned a nice variety of genres and as the name of the program suggests, most of the titles were well-received on PS4. We had games like Bloodborne, inFAMOUS: Second Son, Ratchet & Clank, The Last of Us Remastered, Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience and Yakuza, to name a few.

Well, today Sony announced they are expanding the number of PlayStation Hits. 16 more PS4 games are now receiving the special designation.

Starting next week on November 2, 16 more games will be added to the PlayStation Hits collection, including Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Until Dawn, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mortal Kombat X, UFC 2, Need for Speed and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. These games plus all of the previous PlayStation Hits will be discounted to just $19.99 through the PlayStation Store or at participating retailers.

The PlayStation Hits program is also offered in Canada for $20 CAD, but the titles offered do vary slightly. You can find Canada’s list of Hits here.

At just $19.99, the price for some of these games is very attracted. But it’s important to remember that Black Friday is right around the corner.

Typically, the day after Thanksgiving is when the really great sales starting ramping up for the holiday season. It’s possible that some of these games will be discounted further or even included in some sort of buy one, get one promotion. I would recommend waiting until the sales catalogs start rolling because you might get a better deal.
