When the Xbox One came out, there was no reason to turn the tide: there's a reason the PlayStation 4 has sold more than twice as many units as the Xbox One. The original Xbox One was an oversized box, clumsy everyone compared to a betamax player, and the console came with the Kinect. You know, this universal sensor bar that never worked as expected, pushed up the original price of the $ 100 Xbox One, and spawned a million memes "Microsoft is Big Brother / Always Looking at You"? Oh, and the E3 revelation of the console has not done the favor of the Xbox One thanks to unwelcome policies such as still requiring an internet connection and forcing players to pay fees for playing used games.
Fortunately, the story was Xbox One. Microsoft has learned from its mistakes and removed most draconian and backward policies and features from the console. I would go so far as to say that the Xbox One could even be a must-have console thanks to the cross-play features and the absolutely bestial power hidden under the hood of the Xbox One X. But, the Xbox One remains lagging behind other consoles in a few key areas, and I'm not just talking about its (current) lack of exclusive titles.

Xbox One "Features" We Still Hate
Imagine if you want, an online game from Fortnite. You have exceeded all expectations, and it is up to you and another player. Suddenly, your character stops moving. You shake the sick control and press the buttons, but your character does not respond. You look at the controller and see that the button light is off, the controller batteries are dead. Before you have the opportunity to look for a new AA in a nearby drawer, your opponent will walk towards you and attack you, winning the match. This is not a scene from the Twilight Zone; It's a real-life situation that Xbox One owners have to handle daily because the Xbox One controller does not come with rechargeable batteries.
Most controllers come standard with a built-in battery. All you have to do is plug a power cord into a controller. Then you can spend your day and return to the controller several hours later when it has a full charge. But the Xbox One controller? It is always based on AA batteries. Of course, you can still buy a rechargeable battery (and a charging cable) for the controller, but that's the key word: buy. If you want to plug the controller into the console to give it a charge, you have to shell anywhere between $ 25 and $ 50 on the controller. For PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch controllers, rechargeable batteries and charging cable are free with admission.
