In case you want to get a better look at how Dragon Quest XI takes shape before launch, Square Enix decided to show a little more. Yesterday, the company organized a special livestream on Twitch, with members of their marketing and public relations department in America with the assistant producer Hikari Kubota the creator of the series Yuji Horii and the director of the game ] Takeshi Uchikawa while they were talking about the game for about an hour and a half. The main highlight, other than hearing new information about the game, is that we are seeing a little the battle of a boss against a giant squid.
If you go to the 49 minute mark, you will see the team join a boss battle going on because they are at board of a ship that is fighting against a creature known as Tentacular. The game is presented in the English version, so while the team gives translated comments, you can read what's going on in the game. The video gives a good idea to manage the boss fights and make them work to your advantage rather than feeling overwhelmed right out of the gate. You will be able to try it yourself in a few months while Dragon Quest XI will be released on September 4th.
