"On SCDF's Firefighters the SCDF braved the heat to surround the fire and prevented it from spreading to adjacent residences, "they said in a message on Facebook.

SCDF adds that the occupants of the house were self-evacuated before the arrival of the firefighters.
The fire was overpowered with seven water jets towards 22h, and there were no injuries reported, they said in the post at 23h.
