The Road Rover Could Be The First Fully Electric Range Rover
The arrival of the P400e plug-in, the Velar, and the SV Coupe saw the brand's lineup grow considerably for the first time since several years. But Land Rover shows no signs of slowing down; new reports suggest that the company could predict at least two other vehicles by 2020, including its first "car".

"data-reactid =" 33 "> According to Coach Land Rover will use the same intensive aluminum platform that will support the new Jaguar XJ. It will not be a luxurious salon, however, as previously stated. The so-called Road Rover will inspire luxury rivals like the Audi A4 Allroad and the Volvo S90, among others. Nor will it be powered by a traditional gasoline engine.

Reports suggest that the Road Rover will be powered by a two-engine electric transmission, giving it full-wheel drive capabilities and a range of about 300 miles. It will be the first all-electric vehicle in the Range Rover range, and could share its electric components with the Jaguar XJ. There is no doubt that both vehicles would have characteristics comparable to Jaguar's new I-Pace electric crossover, both in terms of performance and efficiency.
But that's not the only big change that's happening to the Range Rover range. In 2021, the new Range Rover will adopt the "Modular Longitudinal Architecture". The new architecture will make the rugged SUV lighter and more efficient, and could allow it to adopt the same all-electric powertrain as the Road Rover before it.
The new Road Rover is expected to debut in 2020, and will be positioned at the high end in terms of price. Apart from the SV Coupe Limit (which costs £ 240,000), the Range Rover – the most expensive SVAutobiography LWB in the mass market – costs £ 170,000 to start.
