The latest BMW SUV is the dream of a driver

The latest BMW SUV, the X2, is somehow difficult to classify

It is part of the BMW SUV range between the X1 and the X3, but it is slightly shorter than the X1 and is much lower

. X1 and X2 share a platform, but the X2 is a very different beast.

BMW's goal was to create a small SUV / crossover that truly delivers a more dynamic driving experience in a sports-style package.

Low ride height

The low ride height is the clearest indication, just like the lines of design

One could say that the X2 lives in the same territory as the X4 and X6 models, the distinctive SUVs of the German automaker with their almost buggy-esque beach coupe style.

It's interesting that BMW did not choose this style theme with the X2, perhaps because it would have compromised functionality too much.

So the X2 looks a lot like a regular SUV / crossover but it manages to get a sleek and slender look too.

It's a tricky trick to remove but it does it pretty well.
