It's typical for a nation that loves gastronomy like ours to celebrate memorable moments – like Singapore's 53rd birthday – with sumptuous meals. But you do not have to wait until August 9 to begin rummaging through the two Crystal Jade outlets celebration menus.

Crystal Jade The Mian Xiao Long Bao offers a Szechuan-inspired menu filled with fire specialties, and the best way to make your palate easier is with their mala-fried pork buns.

These fluffy white rolls are filled with a combination of minced pork fat, pork loin and pork loin. cabbage strongly infused with a mixture of mala spices; they will not ask you to immediately drink a glass of milk, but they will leave that familiar tingling sensation.

Then, it's time to make spiced mushrooms and spicy pork neck sautéed with potatoes and lotus roots. Both are evocative of wok hei and fiery flavors.
