Jose Mourinho has the best players in the Premier League, says Sarri – Football

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believes that the players at Jose Mourinho's disposal at Manchester United are the best in the Premier League – and that the Portuguese will once again gain important coverage.

Chelsea's only loss this season came in the Community Shield against Manchester City, who were leading the Blues and Liverpool to a different goal at the top of the Premier League.

Mourinho, meanwhile, is struggling with United, eighth after three defeats in the first eight games.

"They are a very strong team. Maybe player by player, they are the best team in the Premier League, "said Sarri.

"For the moment, I think City is better than a team, but player by player, they (United) are very strong."

This may be interpreted as an implicit criticism of Mourinho, but Sarri was not ready to imitate his predecessor, Antonio Conte, by triggering a public feud with former leaders of Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The 59-year-old former banker admits that Mourinho is currently a better coach than him and that he can win trophies again.

Sarri, who has not yet won a trophy in his managerial career, said: "The results speak for him. I need to win if I want to compare myself to him. For the moment, it is not possible (compare).

"You talk about one of the best coaches in the world and I'm not one of the best at the moment.

"I think that he will be able to win also in the future. Because he's really one of the best. Maybe the best. The results are the best.

When asked if Mourinho, who has won three Premier League titles with Chelsea, is sufficiently respected at the moment, Sarri replied, "I think, no, for the moment."

The former boss of Naples felt it was too early to comment on United's season so far.

When asked if he was surprised by United's departure, Sarri added, "A little, but I think that can happen.

"We are only talking about eight games. They are doing well in the Champions League, so they have the opportunity to advance in the Premier League. We are talking about two months. "

The Blues have beaten United on three occasions at Stamford Bridge since Mourinho's move to United following his dismissal from Chelsea in December 2015 and his appointment to Old Trafford six months later.

United lost 4-0 on Mourinho's first comeback. The Conte team won the league in the first Italian season and won 1-0 FA Cup and league victories.

The Blues also defeated United in the FA Cup final at Wembley in Conte's final bossing match before Sarri was named.

With Eden Hazard in top form with seven goals in eight league games, United should try to keep Chelsea from playing.
