Furkan Korkmaz wants to be on the ground.
The 21-year-old is looking for more play time and wants the 76ers to exchange it, according to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, which quotes an unidentified source. Korkmaz has scored just 26 minutes in his team's first seven games this season.
The second-year player, from Turkey, did not confirm the Enquirer's report on Tuesday. But he did not deny it either.
"I just left my country to come here and play here," Korkmaz told Inquirer. "I just want to play, then I feel like I'm ready to play, which is why I'm looking for an opportunity to play."
"It's my second year, I just need to play."
Korkmaz averaged 5.7 minutes and 1.6 points in just 14 appearances in 2017-18. He has scored two of his five placement attempts this season.
According to the report, the 76ers still have not decided if they would choose to equip the Korkmaz team for the third year in a row, worth $ 2.03 million.
