Before the start of the service, CFC Liu's family had gathered around her casket. Her mother, now helped out of her wheelchair, looked at her son and cried uncontrollably.

On Monday, family members described CFC Liu as a kind and warm boy who wanted to go on a mission to Thailand to help those in need.
