SINGAPORE – The body of a man was found floating in the Kallang River on Tuesday afternoon (November 6).
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said that she had answered a call for help at 3:35 pm, and then found the body of the 20-year-old man. A paramedic declared him dead on the scene.
Police said they were alerted to the unnatural death case at 3:33 pm and that investigations were ongoing.
When the Straits Times arrived at the scene, it was cordoned off by police officers and a boat was spotted in the river in search of the body.
At approximately 5:25 pm, several SCDF officers were seen recovering a man's body.
This is the second time in a day that a body has been found in the water. Earlier in the day, the body of another man was found floating in a channel near the street Eu Tong Sen.
He was declared dead on site by paramedics.
