SINGAPORE – Four people, including a 19-year-old foodpanda rider and a seven-year-old girl, were rushed to hospital Saturday (October 27th) as a result of a road accident in Woodlands.
All four were aware when they were taken to the hospital. The Straits Times understands that they have suffered superficial injuries.
A video posted Sunday on the Facebook page of 50 Shades Blacker (Singapore) shows images of a dashboard camera playing on a computer screen. As the vehicle with the dashcam rolls in a bend, a car suddenly appears in the opposite direction of the road. The car is damaged first by a motorcycle rider driving a motorcycle foodpanda – which sends the motorcyclist flying – before it collides with the vehicle recording the sequence.
After the collision, we hear a girl crying and saying in Mandarin: "Mom, I have a headache."
In response to questions, the police told the Straits Times that she had been alerted to an accident involving a car, motorcycle and van at Woodlands Ring Road in the direction of Woodlands Drive 71 at 14:04 on Saturday.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital with the three people inside the van. The van was driven by a 43-year-old man, with two female passengers, aged 7 to 29 years.
Singapore Civil Defense Forces announced the dispatch of two ambulances to the scene.
When contacted, a foodpanda spokesman told the Straits Times: "With respect to the privacy of both parties, we can not say more for the moment."
