Andreas Pereira says he is "lucky to have Carrick as a coach"
The Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira says he is lucky to have former coach Michael Carrick coach.
Pereira, who has spent the last two seasons on loan in Granada and Valencia, has been involved in the pre-season tour of the United States.
The 22-year-old started both games up to now and impressed the midfielder position against San Jose Earthquakes – the same position as Carrick, who retired at the end of last season to occupy a first team coaching position.
"He is very very good to me," said Pereira. from Carrick. "He always tells me what to do and helps me train, if I do something wrong, he'll tell me."

"Even though I'm doing something good, he will tell me too. He is very helpful too because he's played in the same position.
"It is very easy to learn, so if it tells you something, it is so easy to grasp it because you understand it right away."
Pereira made his debut in the US in August 2014 but has only made 12 appearances in the first team since then.
