Singapore feeds on connectivity. Our lack of natural resources has led us to rely heavily on our trading relationships. We are also taking advantage of the relationships between people and businesses and, as last month's Trump-Kim Summit, connectivity also entails risks, as activities – including those of a criminal nature – are increasingly in addition cross-border. Connectivity also poses regulatory challenges as states struggle with comprehensive economic systems to facilitate investment and trade.
