During an interview on Fox News, Eric Trump spoke about the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting and the recent politicization of tragedies.

A Pittsburgh synagogue was attacked on Saturday and 11 people were killed. However, Trump spoke out on the importance of not politicizing the event.

"At the end of the day, this is obviously a very sick, deranged human – a sick, deranged person to do this," Trump said. "It seems to have gotten to a point in life and society where everything has got to be kind of politicized …"

Watch:

While the shooter was an Anti-Semite, he was told about his hatred towards the group, Trump is saying that it is a sign of mental illness, not assumed political affiliation.

"At the end of the day this guy is a sick, sick, sick person. He did the most unthinkable thing imaginable, "said Trump. "He went to a place of worship, shot it up. Again, there are 11 people who are dead now because of it. I think we should try to pull politics out of it. This person does not represent the left. He does not represent the right. The person was sick, deranged. Again, I truly, truly hopeful if found guilty, which he will be, that he gets the death penalty. "

President Trump also commented on the situation.
