Ever since Xbox One backward compatibility has been announced, gamers have been asking for a few high-profile games. While the majority of requests revolve around the Call of Duty franchise, the Final Fantasy franchise has been another hot series. Today, Microsoft announced that Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Final Fantasy XIII are now backward compatible. Furthermore, Civilization Revolution will be receiving an Xbox One X Enhanced update to take advantage of the world's most powerful console.

Backward compatibility opens Xbox One to a huge variety of games, spanning three generations of Microsoft's consoles. Despite hardware differences, it remains an outstanding feature, allowing a select library of older games to be played on Xbox One. While the majority of them are Xbox 360 titles, there are also some original Xbox games in there. To date, Xbox 360 Games, 25 Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 Titles, and 32 Original Xbox Classics.
