Final form of SCG 004S central-seat supercar revealed

Update: James Glickenhaus reached out via e-mail to clarify the changes in the final form of the 004S: the base of the windshield is curved more; the roof at the front is curved more to make the greenhouse look less tall; top of the nose is made to look less than tall; the center of buttresses are more curved; and the interior is reworked with a sunroof and race-required escape hatch.

Aside from these, James added that an optional 800-bhp LT5 engine is available instead of the base 650-bhp LT4 power plant, both with automatic paddle shifters. A GT3 004C version will be available, with both cars on track for late 2019 launch.

Just in time for the reveal of the McLaren Speedtail, The Glory of the F1, James Glickenhaus of the Cameron Glickenhaus Scuderia posted a rendered video of the upcoming 004S three-seater supercar on his Facebook.

This is after the £ 312,000 supercar was revealed almost a year ago by SCG. If you're down to that low volume, this update would be very much appreciated. The timely rendering shows the supercar from all angles and looks to be the final version of the 004S.

Unfortunately, we did not find one another, but we did not see it again.

First, the base of the stemmed mirror is a new position, closer to the center rather than the previous design that is close to the windows. The door's shape seems to be altered, as the new video shows it to curve towards the front wings. This is far from the straight design of the previous renderings and puts the SCG shield within the door panels. Lastly, the gap between the body and the front skirt seems to be narrower than before, giving the 004S a more integrated and sleeker look.

Those were the only changes we saw; if you find anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.

SCG is still on the 004S supercar. However, we know it will be powered by a biturbo 5.0-liter engine that produces 650 bhp and 531 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with a six-speed manual with a gated shifter or an automatic slushbox. And oh, the £ 312,000 starting price still stands, but that's fine as it's cheaper than the £ 1.2-million SCG003.
