A German court authorized the extradition to Spain of former Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont.
A court in Schleswig-Holstein on Thursday ruled that Puigdemont could be extradited, but only for a charge of misappropriation of public funds.
A second charge of rebellion did not warrant extradition from Germany to Spain, the court ruled.
"The extradition on the charge of misappropriation of public funds is allowed, extradition on the charge of rebellion is not allowed," said the regional court Upper State of Schleswig-Holstein in a statement.
The DPA news agency reports that a spokesman said that the extradition order for Puigdemont will soon be approved by the Attorney General of Schleswig-Holstein
