Govt confident of solving all the problems created by BN, says PM

SHAH ALAM : Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said confidently that the government of Pakatan Harapan will be able to solve all the problems created by the administration Previous Barisan Nasional

He said that when PH took control of the administration, they were shocked to find that the damage done to the country was far worse than was suspected.

. But the machinery of government had been sabotaged. So we had to take action by removing some of the officers involved in keeping the previous government.

"These agents had participated in the damage caused by the previous government. We needed time to recover (the country) because the government had been destroyed and misused by (Datuk Seri) Najib (Razak), "he said during the charity campaign organized by Tabung Harapan at the Ideal Convention Center Seksyen

Dr. Mahathir said the government should also review several megaprojects such as the KL-Singapore high-speed train and the east coast rail link to reduce debt and prevent bankruptcy.

"We discovered that Najib was accumulating debts amounting to more than one trillion RM and that we might not be able to settle the debts. That's why we had to abandon or revise unimportant projects like HSR and ECRL because they were costing billions.

"If we continued with the projects, we would be facing huge debts and as we know, if we do not pay, we become a bankrupt nation, we had to stop several Najib projects and organize Negotiations with Stakeholders to Reduce Costs

"This is the government you have chosen. I thank you all for giving Pakatan Harapan the opportunity to improve the country's situation. I am confident that we will get the resolution published by BN, because we have strong public support.

"This event proves it: I was shocked to see (over 3,000) people in this room.I thought there would be only 100 or 200 people. event (fundraising dinner) was not forced by any, it came from the hearts of Malaysians. "

The fundraising dinner, organized by the Coalition of Klang Associations, collected around RM 3.5 million.
