Guido Pella and Robin Haase meet in the semi-finals of the 2018 Croatia Tennis Open.
Guido Pella has just won a series of consecutive victories over Dusan Lajovic who has taken 25 games. In the win, Pella earned 71% of her first serve points and 71% of her second serve points. Pella lost only 21 of the 73 points of service and won a big tie-break in the first round to set the tone for the game. Pella did not play perfect tennis and sometimes had difficulty with his return, but he was able to crush matches as he could at Wimbledon. Pella shows his physical form and shows that he is able to win the big points at the most necessary time to win a victory. It's not always pretty with Pella, but he was able to do just enough to see another day. Pella has a chance to make her third career appearance and the first since the Bavarian Championships last year. Pella has won five of his last six games on clay

Robin Haase s & In going a straight streak wins Andrey Rublev who took 22 games to decide. In the win, Haase won 81% of his first serve points and 51% of his second serve points. Haase won 65% of her total points of service and was able to save six of her seven break chances. Haase is coming out of his easiest match of the tournament, since his two previous matches needed three sets. While it's encouraging, you have to wonder how much Haase has left in the tank, since he's also playing doubles with his partner Matwe Middelkoop. This is a lot of tennis and a test of his conditioning considering that Haase has not done a lot of deep tournaments over the years, especially when it comes to playing singles. Haase has a chance to make his sixth career appearance and the first since the 2016 Swiss Open. Haase has won four of his last six games on clay

It's a tough game to predict because Pella has not played well but has simply found ways to win. Haas has played a cleaner and sharper tennis and is coming out of his best game, but fatigue has to be a question considering the amount of tennis that he plays. With all that said, I support Haase simply because he's played the best match between these two players and has been cleaner with his service. Pella is perhaps the coolest player, but he allows his opponents to hang out too often.
