Weight was a problem for me from an early age. I remember being fat since I was 10 years old. I started to see in my weight a major problem when he started to interfere with my daily life. My weight was causing so many problems with things like work, relationships, my physical appearance, and the anxiety of sitting in a movie theater or taking the plane. I saw in my weight something that hindered everything I wanted to do. I was tired of always thinking about being fit as a solution to all my problems.

I knew that to lose weight, I had to increase my energy expenditure and decrease my consumption of food. I started parking my car as far as possible from my office, always taking the stairs and walking a lot during my free time. The first 20-25 pounds I lost were mainly due to walking or light running.

Fortunately, my younger brother was on a diet that his trainer had given him, so I copied it. I started eating less of everything. I had smaller portions and followed a diet low in carbohydrates, salt, without snacking and containing a lot of water. I only counted the calories much later – I did not need them. The weight fell quickly.

When I reached 240 pounds, I joined a gym and I started seeing a coach: Amjad Khan. At first, my exercise consisted mainly of cardiovascular training and body weight support. Then I started counting calories, using apps like MyFitnessPal and Noom Coach while maintaining my diet.

I started weightlifting with dead weights, I reached 210 pounds and then I turned to bodybuilding. I did not have a single break in the gym for at least a year and a half. I went down to 160 pounds while gaining a significant amount of muscle. My current ground / bench / ground weight is 160 kg (110 lbs) / 110 kg (242 lbs) / 120 kg (264 lbs). I am proud to have accomplished all this without taking steroids or harmful supplements. The only supplements I took were whey protein, nutritional supplements before training, BCAA (branched chain amino acids), multivitamins, and fish oil.

The habit of checking my weight every day has been very helpful. I was still expecting to weigh less than the day before, and if I did, I would make an effort to improve in one area of my diet in order to get an even better result the next day.

I am now very active and very strong. I have continuously set myself high goals to test my strength. I love it when I beat others at the sport. I always feel happy to be able to easily buckle the seatbelt of an airplane because now my size is 30 inches. And I noticed that I have a lot more games from Tinder.

Emotionally, I have my ups and downs. Some days, when I wear good clothes and people compliment me, I am very happy. On other days, I constantly look at my thinking to see if I am still fit or if I have gained weight. I always have body image issues that I believe will go away with time.

I always work every day, I always climb the stairs and I park my car near the end of the car park. For my diet, I continue to drink water, eat my vegetables and look for a good amount of protein in almost everything I eat. I imagine what I want to look like and measure my weekly progress in terms of lifting and percentage of body fat. I especially want to stay in shape, mentally and physically. My life has completely changed and I would like to improve it again with hard work.

I think you work hard in everything you do or nothing.

I love eating out, so saying no to that remains difficult. It's very difficult to go to parties just because it would ruin my diet.

At the gym, I see very good people taking steroids daily. My fight is to say no to this approach every day.

I think if everyone who wants to lose weight gets the chance to be in shape for a day, they will not need to convince once they know what it's doing.

If you have something very important in your life, take your time to finish it and make a difference. Then choose the physical form as a goal, to be able to give it 100%. Think of your goals so much that they are integrated with your subconscious mind. Nothing can stop.
